If the Law Minister is really serious he should have long back initiated actions to increase the judges strength which is only about 14000 in all. The number of pending cases are over 3 crore. Does Mr Moily not know that in India cases take decades to come on board of the courts and not for its fiality which takes again a further decade or so. As such why should the people of India go to the court ?--Instead they would prefer to go to a GOON or a GANGSTER to get his or her problem resolved. Are Mr Moily so naive that he does not know that in India big-wigs always influence the cases whether with police of bureacrates or politicians ? Instead of addressing the issues at hand he (Mr Moily) goes on saying that he will get this or that law chnaged to overcome the difficulty confronted in some individual cases. What has he done so far to get the police reform introduced ? Blaming the states will not solve the problem. If staes could be convinced of the need I am sure no state will dare not to implement the police reform. What about the Judicial reforms which must be lying in dust some where in his ministry ? He never speaks of Electoral Reforms which seeks to break the nexus of criminal-politicians ie criminalisation of politics.

However I hold Mr Moily in high steam and I do believe that no one can doubt his impeccable integrity. At the most he is like one of the few good people who are always used by the parties they belong to.

We are trying to add new laws which will have more negative effect on the system than good. Aleady 498A is misused to greater extent, and this would add to it. And its pity that a person who is a lawyer by himself is driving this.
Why should the innocence be proved by the accused. The job of claimant logs the allegations and sits at home??
I agree that the justice is denied to the common man, and one should think on the means and ways to get it available for everyone and everybody is treated equally. Make 1000 new laws like this will not improve the situation, all politicians and beaurocrats are insulated from this. The situation has to change... not by added meaning less laws, rather, new way in impementing it.
