Amar Singh, one of the founding leaders of Samajwadi, is an Indian politician from the state of Uttar Pradesh and claims to be a close associate of the party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav. He is the general secretary of the Samajwadi Party and a member of the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian Parliament.
